Rubicon Tea Memory
WAV | 429 MB
Japanese architect and ambient composer Hiroki Takahashi drew from fragments of memories in the creation of this sample collection for Rubicon, crafting a pool of sounds that invoke past sensations, smells and environments that come to mind for brief moments in our daily lives. “The impression I got after repeatedly listening to these memory fragments,” says Takahashi, “was that of tea.”
“I would be happy if you could enjoy the sound of various images of tea, including the various environments surrounding tea, its inherent freshness, mellow aroma, the sound of dripping, the time when tea leaves slowly dissolve, the colors and tastes that emanate from tea leaves, and so on, centering on tea, which is commonly consumed in daily life.”
