This course builds upon the tools and techniques taught in Brent’s Measuring & Proportion course in the original Art & Science of Drawing series. This course is part of The Art & Science of Figure Drawing series. It is recommended that you have taken Gesture, the first course in the series before taking this course. It is highly recommended you have completed both the Measuring & Proportion and the Gesture courses before taking this course.

For the techniques taught in this course to be truly useful you need to incorporate them into your overall drawing process. Brent highly recommends using the practice reels in the Gesture course and the Volume & Structure course to incorporate these measuring and proportion techniques into your overall figure drawing process.  Drawing from these timed practice reels is an excellent way to speed up your measuring process.
