Welcome to the Overcoming the Challenges Of Professional Flying course. My name is Michael Carlini, founder of the Oregon Flight School, and I will be your instructor. I am a corporate jet pilot, flight instructor, and ATP with over 2000 hours and 13 years of flying experience. I am glad you are here.One area in which traditional commercial pilot training completely lacks is in regard to many of the real-life challenges faced by professional pilots that are not aviation-related knowledge areas or maneuvers. In reality, the major challenges encountered by commercial pilots are primarily related to aeronautical decision-making, lifestyle, and mental health. I felt that commercial pilot training did not sufficiently discuss the topics that this course will cover, so I created this course to help fill in those gaps.
